(It was a couple of months ago, but) there’s been the biggest redundancy of service personnel for a long time. Par exemple, this was on June 21st:

“The axing of 4,100 troops from all three Services comes as the Armed Forces reduces from 180,000 to 150,000 over the next five years as part of cost-saving defence cuts.”

But since then, I’ve noticed a massive recruiting drive; loads of adverts on TV, Radio, and all over the internet…

Just seems totally hypocritical to me.

But I don’t really know much about this topic, so perhaps I’ve got it all wrong…

Someone perhaps enlighten me?
